I think it's either an issue with the HP driver or W10 update. I would like to install basic drives, but HP doesn't give this option anymore. This doesn't happen when I unplug and plug in the printer. However when I unplug a device I get a sound/tone, when I plug the same device back in I get sound/tone plus an onscreen flag indicating device name. I have change usb port and checked that the usb ports are working with other devices, all OK I have run trouble shooter in Device and printers, it says that the device is working correctly HP site doesn't have a solution, except uninstall and start again (done that). I have run HP doctor and solution assistant. ![]() I have removed both Office 2007 and all HP software, all files and directories, cleaned the registry etc. It has worked previously in W10, however I had to re-install W10 recently (full format, clean installation, not a repair) ![]() HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless, will not print from edge or office 2007.
